At Pollington-Balne CE Primary School, we are committed to creating a positive learning and working environment which is free of any conduct that would contravene the Equality Act 2010. In order to achieve this we aim to respond to concerns: take preventative measures by raising awareness and promote equality of opportunity amongst pupils, parents, carers, staff and the wider community..

What can parents do to help in severe weather
- Please visit the East Riding of Yorkshire Council website for more information about gritting routes and travel issues around the East Riding so you can plan your journey safely.
- Don’t forget suitable warm clothing for your child – gloves, hats, scarves, wellies etc. or even a change of clothing.
- If you are a working parent or feel you may have a problem with a sudden earlier pick up, please could you put a back-up plan in place with another family member or parent and inform the school. This will allow staff to leave earlier for their safety if weather dictates.
Thank you for your support in helping Pollington-Balne CE Primary School to remain open during periods of severe snow/ice.
